Brief History

Our Congregation was born in Italy. Fr. Nilo Borgia, was a Basilian father had deep attachment to the Christians. This spirit helped him to work among the orthodox in Albania, and he understood that this work can done only through sisters.  And with this mission he formed a religious institute of Basilian Sisters.
The Foundress of our Congregation was Mother Macrina Raparelli with help of the founder Basilian Congregation was established in 8 July 1921 in Mezzojuso (Italy). She had the same vision of our father. She was always able to see Christ in everyone. She was enlightened by faith according to her own conscience to God and to man and she devoted herself to various works of mercy with complete self-denial- helping girls, children, poor people, the elderly person and SBk person.
Our spirituality is based on the Oriental Saint Fathers, from the Gospel, and from this we got the sprite to observe the virtue of Faith, Love, Sacrifice, Simplicity and Humility.
Our Congregation started to working in India, 1993, Tiruvalla, with the charism, Unity of the Church. We are running an English medium school in Tiruvalla, (C.B.S.E. school) and we are working in different parish to teach catechism.
